Reiki Practitioner Course (including Reiki 1 and Reiki 2)

The Gaia School of Natural Health is thrilled to be accredited and verified by the Reiki Federation and the CNHC to offer the new style qualification in reiki training: the Reiki Practitioner Course, which is a qualification to practice reiki as a practitioner and leads to the Reiki Practitioner Course certificate. The accreditation from the Reiki Federation (Verification Number: 2014-1025P) and the CNHC confirm that the course meets the required number of hours, attunements, content and case studies as specified by the Reiki Council Core Curriculum and the reiki National Occupational Standards. Those wishing to work within hospices or NHS environments are increasingly being required to have trained to this recognised level.

Please note that we are currently the only school/Reiki Master Teacher on the Wirral, in West Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales accredited to offer this level of reiki training. Completion of this qualification will ensure that in this changing environment of regulation of complementary therapies, you will meet all the required criteria for membership of professional associations and regulatory bodies. Reiki training is provided by Carolyn Roberts who is a Reiki Master Teacher and practitioner.

Reiki is a safe, gentle and relaxing healing method which can be learned and used easily by anyone. You may choose to learn Reiki for your own personal use, or you may wish to train in order to become a qualified practitioner.

Reiki courses

The Reiki Practitioner Course consists of three elements. You must attend all three and complete the required case studies and assessments in order to complete the Reiki Practitioner Course.

  1. Reiki I

  2. Reiki II

  3. Reiki Practitioner
    Skills Workshop
(exemptions available for qualified therapists in other disciplines). This workshop should be undertaken after Reiki I, but can be before or after Reiki II.

The Core Curriculum states that training must take place over a minimum of 9 months, however you can choose to attend each of the three parts of the course whenever you feel ready, so you can take longer than this if you wish to. Reiki I and II may also be taken for personal reasons and without the intention to practice as a Reiki Practitioner, in which case completion of the case studies is not compulsory, and a certificate of attendance, only, will be given.

Those who have completed Reiki I and Reiki II, or the Reiki Practitioner Course may also choose to undertake Reiki III (Reiki Master) training, when they feel they are ready for it, with the Gaia School of Natural Health.

Please click on the buttons above for Reiki I, Reiki II, Reiki Practitioner Skills Workshop and Reiki Master information.

Testimonials

”The three days of Reiki 1 training were very enjoyable as Carolyn took us through the basic precepts of Reiki, the philosophy and practice, and then prepared us for the attunements. Everything was explained clearly, there was plenty of time to discuss and ask questions, and lots of time for meditating before the attunements and practising Reiki after them. Being in a small group meant the days were very personal and relaxed and I look forward very much to completing the Reiki 2 days soon.

After the training days Carolyn has been available to give help and guidance with case studies and Reiki practice and could not be more supportive. The attunements I have received have enabled me to give Reiki to others with some wonderful results as well as working on myself. Doing Reiki has changed my life so much for the better and I thoroughly recommend this discipline to everybody. In particular, any energy therapist will find that their treatments gain such a lot from this course.“ Lisa Hardi, holistic therapist.

”Carolyn delivered a fantastic Reiki training day to staff working at Claire House hospice, who had previously trained up to Reiki Master level. She had given a great deal of thought into tailoring the study day for the slightly differing practitioner levels of the group, and had skilfully put together an interesting and fun programme, covering topics particularly relevant to this specialist healthcare setting. This allowed therapists to learn some new skills including work on chakras and crystals, which will enable them to further enhance their therapies. There was a perfect balance of theoretical and practical work, which also allowed for lively and informative discussion, alongside helpful practise in a safe environment.“ Jan Scott, Complementary Therapy Co-Ordinator, Claire House children's hospice
