Reiki 1 is suitable for complete beginners. You will be attuned to Reiki energy and shown how to use it safely and effectively on your family and friends. It is a standalone course that can lead on towards gaining practitioner status should you wish. For those who wish to undertake the full Reiki Practitioner Course then attendance on this Reiki 1 course should take place first before attending any of the other workshops.
Our Reiki 1 course consists of 15 hours (over two days) and includes the following:
If you wish to continue training in Reiki, you will have to carry out 30 treatments after Reiki 1, and it is recommended that you leave a minimum of 5 months between Reiki 1 and Reiki 2
To facilitate the journey to becoming a full Practitioner, Gaia School of Natural Health offers a prescribed course path which you can book on that has the number of hours and content required to meet the recently published recommended requirements of the Reiki Federation and CNHC.
You can choose to attend Reiki 1 and 2 purely for personal reasons. If you choose not to complete the case studies and other assessment elements, then you will be given a certificate of attendance ONLY, which makes it clear that you are not qualified to practice reiki as a professional practitioner. Please follow the link for further information on the full Reiki Practitioner Course (of which Reiki 1 is the first part).
