We are based in South Wirral on the border between Cheshire and Merseyside, and within easy reach of Chester, Wrexham, North Wales, Warrington, Liverpool and the Isle of Man.

The Principal and Main Course Tutor of the School is Carolyn Roberts MSc MAR PRM CRM L5 Tutor, who has been a qualified and practising reflexologist and aromatherapist since 1999. She is also a qualified adult education teacher, Reiki Master Teacher and holds a MSc in Holistic Health.

Level 3 QCF Diploma in Aromatherapy

Note – Our qualifying body, ABC Awards, is ceasing offering the L3 Diploma in Aromatherapy, therefore our final intake for this qualification will be this September 2016.

This fully accredited QCF Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy will enable you to join the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) as your professional body, and the national register of complementary therapies, the CNHC.

Level 3 Aromatherapy group 2015-16

Training takes one academic year and you will cover the following modules:

  1. Principles and practice of complementary therapies.
  2. QCF Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies.
  3. Provide aromatherapy.
  4. Business practice for complementary therapies.

Within the Provide aromatherapy module, we will cover:

  • Aromatherapy: history, philosophy, uses.
  • Essential oils: botany, chemistry, blending and uses.
  • Practical: full body massage, aromatherapy facial, seated back, head and shoulder massage, pregnancy massage.

Assessment is through a portfolio of evidence and 60 treatments to perform and record outside of class time. There will also be an assessed clinic where you will conduct an observed practical session.

Exemptions

Where individuals have attained or are in the process of attaining/studying a Level 3 or 5 Diploma in Reflexology then exemptions may apply for modules 1, 2 and 4 of the Level 3 QCF Diploma in Aromatherapy.

Gaia School offers the specific "Full aromatherapy diploma - "Provide Aromatherapy" module" in such instances for a reduced course fee (noted in the "Other Info" section).

  • If you are interested in studying the full Level 3 QCF Diploma in Aromatherapy (i.e. all four modules), then the additional five dates are as follows:

  • Day 5 TBC

Entry requirements

  • You must be over 18, and have sufficient ability to be able to perform the aromatherapy techniques
  • You must have regular access to email, the Internet and word-processing and printing facilities.
  • You must have the interest, energy, enthusiasm (and time!) necessary to complete the course.

Cost

Full aromatherapy diploma

(including all four modules and all registration fees etc) is £1400. Non-refundable deposit of £150, followed by a single payment at the start of the course of £1250 or subject to agreement 5 monthly standing order payments £250 per month.

Full aromatherapy diploma - "Provide Aromatherapy" module alone

(including registration fees) is £900. Non-refundable deposit of £150, followed by a single payment at the start of the course of £750 or subject to agreement 5 monthly standing order payments £150 per month.

In addition you will also need to purchase:

  • a massage couch with cover and towels, which you will need to bring with you to some of the classes
  • Textbook approx. £46.00
  • Aromatherapy essential oils, carrier oils, face creams and equipment such as spatulas etc.



Application forms

Please complete the attached booking form which should be returned with your deposit for £150 made payable to ”Gaia School of Natural Health“. The deposit is non-refundable unless the course is cancelled by the Gaia School.
