What Are The Benefits Of Limbic Reflexology?
As such, it is the control centre for homeostatic norms. Research any condition and you will find altered homeostatic processes which are regulated by Limbic process. Chronic pain conditions, Parkinson’s disease, spectrum disorders, migraine, Trigeminal neuralgia, depression and anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, all involve altered function in the limbic networks.
For example, in chronic pain conditions such as Fibromyalgia or M.E/CFS, the exaggerated experience of pain and fatigue is created by central sensitisation in the limbic brain circuits and processes. So we will not only work on the affected body areas, but on the altered Limbic circuits underpinning the problem.
Before attending a Workshop, you should have studied the online module to the level that you are familiar with the names and locations of the reflex areas. To get the most value from the practical workshop, you will have practiced the techniques and have completed the quiz assessment module.
On the practical day, we build a limbic routine where we practice five sequential groups of reflex areas. Through feedback and assessment, you finetune the techniques and locations of the reflex areas you learned on the online course.
As we learn the reflex areas, we will weave the theoretical knowledge from the online materials into the practical routines. This will help us to come to an educated interpretation of the probable neural processes involved in whatever problem we are addressing in our treatments.
In the online workshop, we look at researching problems, treatment planning, interpreting our findings and using outcome measures, Thus, we will be able to demonstrate that our treatment is informed, focused, and evidence based – all criteria which will lend credibility to our practice.
